5. New York Islanders 6-2-0: The Islander keep on winning and keep making people believe that they are for real. The Islanders got big contributions from disappointments and unknowns this week. Relative disappointment Frans Nielsen recorded his first hat trick of his career this past week. Unknown Brock Nelson recorded his 5th goal of the season.

4. Los Angeles Kings 5-1-1: The Kings are the second hottest team in the state of California. They have won 5 in a row. The Kings are really good this season. They are allowed 1.4 goals per game this season and have outscored opponents 14-3 this season. Jonathan Quick is 4-0-1 with 0.97 goals against average this season. The Kings continue to win despite the off ice issues facing Slava Voynov.

3. Nashville Predators 5-1-2: Are the Predators for real? In the offseason the Preds switched coaches and added more offensive players. The change seems to be working as new players James Neal and other are playing well. Pekka Rinne appears to be back as well. Rinne is 5-1-1 with a 1.81 goals against average and .932 save percentage.

2. Montreal Canadiens 7-1-0: The Habs have won four in a row and look very very good this season. Carey Price has allowed just four goals in his last three starts. That is good for a .959 save percentage. P.K. Subban might have scored one of the coolest goals of this young season. The HABS are FOR REAL..RESPECT!

1. Anaheim Ducks 7-1-0: The Ducks have won seven games in a row. Corey Perry recorded a hat trick this week and Frederik Andersen has been very impressive. Andersen is 6-0-0 with 1.32 goals against average and .951 save percentage. Why are the Ducks playing so well because DUCKS fly together! QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!
