Chicago Blackhawks’ Three Stars Of Week #3

The Chicago Blackhawks had their first regulation loss handed to them in Week 3, and after a pair of road losses, the team came back home to the United Center for a hard-fought win, finishing the week with a 1-2 record, their first losing record in a week this season. Despite the limited success, the team still had plenty of positives. We count down the top three in this week’s edition of the Three Stars.

#3: Duncan Keith

Looking at Duncan Keith’s stats over the past three games, they may not jump off the page, but anyone that watched #2 on the ice this week would agree, he’s deserved of a Star. In a week where the Blackhawks’ defensemen were consistently inconsistent (including no. 2 defenseman Brent Seabrook), Keith’s assist and +2 rating seems like a great week at the office. Keith will have to be the rock on the Blackhawks’ blue-line for a few more weeks as Trevor Van Reimsdyk and others slowly settle in, and his leadership will be a huge dividend for the team.
