#1: Scott Darling
For the third straight week, a Blackhawks’ goaltender cracks the Three Stars list, and once again, it’s a different goaltender. Scott Darling not only earned his first NHL start this week, but his first NHL win, too, and his story is one of perseverance. After playing for 13 teams over the past 5 seasons, the mammoth goaltender finally earned that milestone, and still speaks of his future with plenty of positivity, at 25 years old. Darling didn’t just cruise to the first win, either, making several key saves as the Senators made a late, fruitless push in the third period. Darling may be around for a little longer, with Corey Crawford just beginning to hit the ice again after his injury, and Blackhawks fans hope this feel-good story has an encore.
