The Chicago Blackhawks are carrying 3 goalies and according to the morning skate tradition, Scott Darling was first off the ice today so he will be in net tonight for the Blackhawks visit to the Ottawa Senators.

Scott Darling has played four games this season, 2 in Rockford and 2 in Chicago.  He’s 2-0 in Rockford with a 1.44 Goals Against Average and a .948 Save Percentage, while in Chicago he’s 1-1 with a 1.03 GAA and a .966 Save %

So it looks like the return of Corey Crawford to the lineup will be put off until Saturday night in Toronto, so Crawford’s October stat line is 3-0-1 with a 1.66 GAA and a .926 Save% and  probably the best player on the ice the first two weeks of the season for the Blackhawks.

The question really is, Is the writing on the wall now for Antti Raanta heading to Rockford?  Raanta lost two consecutive road games and gave up a goal in each game that you know he really wanted back.  Raanta is waiver exempt and regular playing time in Rockford wouldn’t be the worst thing for him right now.
