24. Colorado Avalanche 3-4-5: The Avalanche have struggled this season and it is because of their defense. Their defense allows 38.5 shots per game. Semyon Varlamov is not the same goalie he was last season, he is 2-2-4 with a 2.42 goals against average.

23. Winnipeg Jets 5-5-1: The Jets are riding high as of late. The Jets are 3-0-1 in their last four games. The Jets did also welcome back Evander Kane who scored the game winner against the Rangers on Saturday. Even Ondrej Pavelec earned his first shutout of the season this past week. The Jets kick off November with a game against the Blackhawks.

22. Florida Panthers 4-2-3: Aaron Ekblad recorded his first goal of his NHL career on Saturday night against the Flyers. Ekblad was the first 1st pick in the 2014 draft by the Florida Panthers. Roberto Luongo nearly recorded his first shutout of the season and Florida has won 3 of 4.

21. New York Rangers 5-4-1: The Rangers continue to lose players. The Rangers lost Ryan McDonagh to a separated shoulder and Kevin Klein with a foot contusion. The Rangers stated that both McDonagh and Klein will be reassessed on Sunday. This season has not been kind to the New York Rangers luckily it is still early for the defending Eastern Conference Champions.

20. Calgary Flames 6-4-2: The future has finally arrived in Calgary. John Gaudreau recorded a goal and one assist this past week. Johnny Hockey now has 6 points  and is tied for the most points among rookies this season, it’s pretty crazy that if the playoffs started today the Flames would be a Western Conference playoff team.
