What’s On Tap This Week? Well, the schedule finally kicked into full swing this past week but the Blackhawks offense didn’t follow suit.  The Blackhawks offense is still in preseason mode and that has plenty of Blackhawks fans starting to show some concern. The fun thing is all it takes is one goal, one win, one game to change that concern back to excitement to the season!  Here’s a look at this weeks games.

Tuesday Night at Montreal Canadiens

The Blackhawks have not scored in 95:42 have been shut out by Hutchinson and the Winnipeg Jets so logic is the Hawks will either get shut out or score 5 goals on the road.  The Blackhawks have been extremely solid on the defensive end so there is no real big worries, but it sure would be a whole lot more fun to watch pucks go into the back of the net!

Friday Night Vs Washington Capitals

A preview of the Winter Classic when the Capitals come to town.  The last time the Capitals were at the United Center the Blackhawks were raising the 2013 Stanley Cup Banner and scoring a bunch of goals.  Barry Trotz is the coach now so the Caps will be a tighter bunch but they are struggling in the beginning stages of learning the new Trotz system.  If Carey Price stops the Hawks Tuesday look for 50-60 shots on goal Friday night at the United Center.

Sunday Night vs San Jose Sharks

The final game of the week is against another Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde team when the Sharks come to visit.  The Sharks started out hot like they always do, but seem to have cooled off a bit with little production from Tomas Hertl.  They never play well in Chicago so this better be a W in the win column for the Hawks.
