Patrick Sharp left the third period of the Montreal Canadiens game with a knee injury and after the game

Joel Quenneville

said the words Blackhawks fans dreaded, He’s out for a bit.  In Quenneville speak that is at least 3 weeks with more than a month staring Hawks fans in the face.

After finally getting some goals in the net the only downer of the night will be the Patrick Sharp injury and it sounds like a pretty significant injury.  I’m sure they will have to re-evaluate it in the morning, but the way Sharp couldn’t put any weight on his leg and the fact that Sharp was declared out for a bit could mean a possible Long-term I.R. spell for #10.

Patrick Sharp after an injury plagued shortened season in 2013 was very healthy last season as he played his way onto the Canadian National Olympic hockey team, but now he will be on the mend for sometime now and with Daniel Carcillo out a call up not named Brandon Mashinter could be coming soon from Rockford.

Updating our earlier story.  Sharp is out for a Bit, the real tell tale sign will be in the next day or two if they put him on I.R or L.T.I.R to free up salary space to call up some Rockford Ice Hogs.
