Patrick Sharp left the third period with an apparent knee injury. It didn’t look very serious when he was hit in the corner, but he wasn’t able to put any weight on his knee and went straight to the locker room.

Sharp was on a 2 on 1 before the injury but the play with Marian Hossa didn’t click and he got caught up in the corner and banged knees and never could get back up until the play was whistled dead.

The announcers speculated some sort of MCL injury, but we will wait for speculation until we hear from Joel Quenneville after the game.

Sharp banged knees and is the locker room in the third period, and we will update as soon as there is an injury update!
