The Blackhawks have to make a roster move after the Patrick Sharp injury  unless they plan on starting David Rundblad at wing and start the #ProjectRundblad hashtag tomorrow night against the Washington Capitals.  It appears that the Blackhawks are going to make the call to Rockford for Peter Regin.

Regin has been by far the best player in Rockford in the early going and you have to like the fact that he’s played hard even though he must have thought he was going to be on the Blackhawks opening day roster after signing as a free agent this summer.  Regin is tied for the IceHogs team lead in points with 4 goals and 6 assists.

The call looks to be Regin since he’s not in Iowa for the IceHogs 10:30am school kids special day this morning.

Of course most Hawks fans are ready for the Teuvo era to kick off but the Hawks don’t seem to be as excited as we are for Teuvo Time.

Again as stated earlier the only possible problem with the Regin call up is he will have to clear waivers if he’s sent back to Rockford.
