14. Winnipeg Jets 8-5-2: What has gotten into Ondrej Pavelec ? Is this why everyone keeps having faith in him. Most people including myself do not have faith in Pavelec . He has had nice stretches like this before but has never sustained anything for a full season. Enjoy it while it lasts Jets fans. Pavelec is 7-4-2 with a 1.98 goals against average and .928 save percentage.

13. Philadelphia Flyers 7-5-2: The Flyers have gotten hot this week winning three in a row. Claude Giroux continues his good start notching two more goals on Saturday night. He has 4 goals and 14 assists on the season.

12. New York Islanders 9-5-0: The Islanders appear to very streaky! 3 wins  in a row, lose three in a row, and now last week they won three in a row. The Islanders just completed a West coast trip where they won 3 out of 5. Frans Nielsen continues to play well. He has 4 goals and 9 assists thus far this season. Last season he had 25 goals and 33 assists.

11. Los Angeles Kings 8-4-3: The Kings welcome backed Marian Gaborik and Anze Kopitar this past week. Gaborik got on the board this season and Kopitar recorded his first multipoint game of the season. It was Kopitar first multi game since Game 4 of the Western conference finals last season.

10. San Jose Sharks 8-5-2: The Sharks are 4-5-1 in their last ten games. Antti Niemi is 6-3-1 with a 2.55 goals against average and Logan Couture has 7 goals and 9 assists. This is the same old Sharks, but you have to like the fact they scored 4 goals in the third period last night against the Stars for the road win.
