This might be the season of milestones for the Blackhawks. The Captain Jonathan Toews will appear in his 500th regular season game tonight. We know Toews is not concerned with indivudal milestones and he is the ultimate team guy. The Blackhawks franchise has been altered by Toews and others. Toews was the third overall pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL draft. On that day the course of the Blackhawks was altered for the better. Toews would score his first NHL goal in the first period of his first NHL game. Toews scored on Evgeni Nabokov to put the Hawks on the board. Toews stated that his moist vivid memory was that the fact that Blackhawks lost the game. Everyone has come to expect the serious dereminer from Toews. As we all know Toews was named the youngest captain in Blackhawks history at the age of 19.  He was then given the nickname “Captain Serious”. Captain serious is seriously GOOD!

In Toews 499 regular season games, he has piled up some impressive numbers. He has recorded 201 goals and 252 assists and that is good for 453 points. He is a plus 145 for his career.  During his time with the Blackhawks Toews also has one Selke trophy, two Stanley cup wins, and one Conn Smythe trophy.  When he was not playing with the Blackhawks, Toews managed to help team Canada to two Olympic goals medals during his NHL tenure.

The Blackhawks are very fortunate to have had Toews for 500 career NHL games. Here is too another 500 NHL games with the Blackhawks! Let’s everyone congratulate Jonathan Toews on 500 NHL games.

CONGRATS Jonathan Toews!!
