Jeremy Morin the Enforcer

By Sean Fitzgerald

The Blackhawks have been lacking a physical presence/ enforcer since Brandon Bollig was traded away in the offseason. Most people think Dan Carcillo is a that guy but he does not drop the gloves often enough to be considered an enforcer.

Enter Jeremy Morin: Ever since last year I have noticed Morin get on the other team’s body when possible. With his size at 6’1 about 200 lbs, Morin delivered big hits when possible.

A good friend of mine who is a Rockford Icehogs fan said that Morin was not shy about dropping the gloves in the AHL. We know he is not shy about dropping the gloves at the NHL level. We have already seen Morin fight Adam Burish at the end of the Sharks game.

Everyone knew Morin was an offensive talent after racking up 56 goals and 54 assists in 3 AHL seasons. Most people failed to notice the 241 penalty minutes.

Morin is not afraid to be the enforcer the Blackhawks are looking for and need. The Blackhawks need someone to project their smaller skill guys from others teams “Goons”. Several teams have taken liberties with the Blackhawks players in the past.  Blackhawks fans have already embraced Morin as a player, let’s embrace him as an enforcer.

Let’s start the era of Morin the Chicago Blackhawks enforcer!
