The Chicago Blackhawks recall Phillip Danault.

The Blackhawks have made a series of roster moves today. The Blackhawks have announced they have recalled Phillip Danault from the Rockford Ice Hogs. Danault has 10 points  in 14 games with Rockford this season. Danault was a first round pick of the Blackhawks in 2011. Danault has spent the last four seasons with the Rockford Ice Hogs. He has recorded 9 goals and 27 assists in four seasons with the Ice Hogs. Before joining the Ice Hogs, Danault played four seasons with the Victoriaville Tigers and Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. In his four years in the QMJHL, he had 74 goals and 177 assists. In 2010-11, he won the Guy Canonneau Trophy, that is awarded annually to the best defensive forward. He also represented Team Canada in the World Junior Championships in 2013.

The Blackhawks also updated us on the status of  Patrick Sharp . The Blackhawks announced tthat Patrick Sharp will be placed on Long Term Injured Reserve. Sharp will resume skating in a day or so but Coach Joel Quenneville said it will not alter his time on LTR. Sharp has 3 goals and six assists this season. Last year Sharp lead the Blackhawks with 78 points. He had 34 goals and 44 assists. Danault takes Sharp spot on the Blackhawks roster.

The Blackhawks next stop on the Circus trip is in Edmonton. The Blackhawks will take on the Edmonton Oilers Saturday at 9pm. The game can be seen on WGN.
