10. New York Islanders 14-6-0: The Islanders have won three in a row and are second in the Metropolitan division to Penguins. The Islanders are turning up the heat on the Pens this season. The Islanders just swept a home at home series against the Pens. Matt Martin notched his second goal of the season on Saturday.

9. Los Angeles Kings 11-6-4: The Kings got some salary cap relief for the suspsended Slavya Voynov this week. Voynov is still suspended indefinitely. The Kings are finally starting to get some offensive production from Justin Williams who had two goals on Saturday night.

8. Calgary Flames 13-7-2: The Flames ran into the Blackhawks earlier this week and lost a close game 4-3. The impressive thing for the Flames is when they got down 2-0 early, they continued to  battle. They are going to hang around this season.

7. Vancouver Canucks 13-6-1: The Canucks acquired center Will Acton from the Edmonton Oilers this past week. They traded away Kellan Lain. The Canucks are 6-3-1 in their last ten games. Forward free agent signing, Radim Vrbata has 9 goals and 7 assists this season.

6. St. Louis Blues 13-6-1: The Blues are going for their eighth win in their last nine games. Their leading goal scorer is Vladimir Tarasenko with 12 goals. Jaden Schwartz has been on a bit of a hot streak recording 12 points over the last nine games.
