It’s Thanksgiving week in the middle of the circus trip and the Blackhawks are halfway through their 6 game march through the Western Conference.  The Blackhawks are 2-1 on the trip so far with a Divisional opponent, the top team in the Western Conference and well the defending Stanley Cup champs so let’s take a look at What’s On Tap!

Wednesday Night– At The Colorado Avalanche

The Blackhawks struggled against the Avalanche last season, but this isn’t the team that shocked the Central Division last season. Their terrible possession numbers have finally caught up with them this season while not getting the out of this world netminding either. The Av’s are toiling at the bottom of the Central Division so it will be a huge game for the Hawks to keep the Av’s from gaining any momentum with a home win versus the Blackhawks

Friday Afternoon– at The Anaheim Ducks

A rare weekday afternoon delight in the middle of Duck season.  The Ducks are in first place and doing their normal great regular season play.  They have had some injury issues at the goalie position, but it doesn’t seem to matter who they put in net they pick up victory after victory.  This will be a good test for the Blackhawks the day after Thanksgiving.

Saturday Night– at The LA Kings

The first rematch of the past two Western Conference Finals will be one that everyone will be watching if you can stay up that late.  The Kings season has been very similar to the Hawks with more losses and injuries than expected but right in the middle of the mix like always.  The Hawks play well in LA during the regular season so look for some offensive fireworks from both teams Saturday night.
