The game we have all wanted to see since last spring’s heart breaking Game #7 overtime defeat at the United Center takes place tonight at the Staples Center for at least the first of two acts this season. The Blackhawks and Kings are off to slower than expected starts, but the Hawks have been piling up the wins lately while Darryl Sutter and the Kings are winning enough to stay above the playoff line in the West.
The Blackhawks are playing their last game in their much hyped circus trip with a 4-1 record so far on their 2 week road trip. The Blackhawks play since moving Brad Richards and Kris Versteeg to Patrick Kane‘s line has seemed to have turned the sluggish offense around. All three had 2 point games in Anaheim on Friday and looked to be creating some real nice chemistry after taking a while to be put together.

The Kings have been very good at home going 10-2-2. but in recent seasons the Blackhawks visits to LA have been exciting games with the Hawks getting the better of the play for the most part. This is a nationally televised game so look for both teams to be ready to make the first statement of the season.
