1.  The circus trip was a success. The Hawks finished up their circus trip with a record of 5-1-0; their only loss being to the Vancouver Canucks. They were able to earn 10 out of a possible 12 points on this trip.  Chicago currently sits in 3rd place in the Western Conference, with 31 points, 3 points behind the Predators and the Blues.  Again, the real story is behind the numbers.  It was really amazing to see this whole team come together and have such a great trip.  They started on a good note, rallied around their tough loss, and then carried momentum through the final 2 games.  They ended this trip a better team than when they started it.   Let’s hope some rest and home cooking is just what the doctor ordered to keep the good times rolling.

One final note.  Every now and then my husband says something that’s actually worth repeating.  His latest is regarding Daniel Carcillo.  “He’s our little fighter!  Go buddy!”  Yes, CarBomb was able to get some of his restless energy out on the King’s Brayden McNabb, and it didn’t negatively affect the outcome of the game.  Although I would have to argue that Mr. Corey Perry of Anaheim would have been a much more deserving opponent.  Up next?  The St. Louis Blues!  Can’t wait for Wednesday!
