Corey Crawford will finally get a night off.  It was not the type of night off Crawford wanted. Crawford is ruled out with a lower body injury. To counter the Crawford injury, The Blackhawks announce that Antti Raanta will get the start the net against the Blues. Raanta last NHL started on October 26th was against the Blues losing 3-2. Raanta did have a cameo with the Rockford IceHogs on November 4th. He won that start 3-2. On the season Raanta is 1-2 with 2.03 goals against average and .933 save percentage. Raanta was supposed to get a start sooner but became ill and could not start.

Raanta replaces a red hot Crawford ! Crawford just came off a 5-1 Circus Trip. Crawford had made 14 consecutive starts heading into Wednesday night. On the season, Crawford is 12-5 with 1.87 goals and a .929 save percentage. Crawford is in the midst of his best season. There is no word on how long Crawford will be out for.

The Blackhawks will take on the Blues Wednesday December 3rd at 8pm.
