The Chicago Blackhawks have ruled Corey Crawford out for two to three weeks with a lower body injury. This could not come at worse time for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks will face a string of tough opponents. They will face the Blues, Predators, Canadiens, Bruins, and Islanders.  This is the second time Crawford has missed time this season.

Crawford was hurt off the ice. The rumors are that he was drunk.

Crawford is currently in the best stretch of his career.  Crawford was 5-1 on the “Circus Trip”. Crawford for the season is 12-5-1 with 1.87 goals against average and .929 save percentage.  Antti Raanta will start in place of Crawford tonight against the Blues. Raanta is 1-2-0 with 2.03 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

The Blackhawks also recalled Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs. Darling has appeared in three games going 2-1-0 with 1.98 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

The Blackhawks will take on the St. Louis Blues tonight at 7pm at the United Center.
