The rivalry night on NBCSN finally finds a rivalry west of the East Coast when the Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues faceoff in Chicago.  The Blues and the Blackhawks are two of the top 3 teams currently in the Central Division and both teams are really starting to hit their stride as the calendar turns to December.

The Blues Vladimir Tarasenko is on fire scoring just about every way possible while no matter if it’s Brian Elliott or Jake Allen or the newly signed Martin Brodeur in net the Blues are in their normal shut down mode.  The Blues are a physical heavy team that doesn’t mind finishing off a check late.. very late.

The Hawks are playing their best hockey of the season and usually run through their December schedule with a circus trip kick start and it looks like it could repeat, but their first week of December schedule is full of teams playing good hockey including tonight’s rival the Blues.
