The Chicago Blackhawks head out on another road trip this week, but unlike the circus trip it’s time to head out east for a three game trip through the East Coast and the week ends back at the United Center so let’s take a quick look at this weeks contests.
Tuesday Night Vs the New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils have won a shootout, but they are still below the. 500 mark in the Metropolitan Division and have given up a ton of goals so far this season. The Blackhawks have road their current hot streak to first place and all without the services of Patrick Sharp who is planning on playing Tuesday Night. The Blackhawks will be starting Scott Darling Tuesday night and probably Klas Dahlbeck so the Rockford Shuffle will have an effect on the outcomes this week.
Thursday Night Vs the Boston Bruins
Get ready for plenty of 17 seconds mentions as the Blackhawks return to the scene of the crime. The Bruins are no where near the dominant team they have been the past few season with them holding a 15-12-1 record which is a lot of wins but whole lot of regulation losses too. The Bruins are 9-5-1 on home ice so this will more than likely be a hard hitting tight battle when the Blackhawks visit an Original 6 member on Thursday night.
Saturday night Vs New York Islanders
This should be an exciting game from Long Island with two teams playing fast and good hockey. John Tavares has led his team to a tie for first in the Metropolitan Divison and they are playing some exciting hockey even though Johnny Boychuk is now out with injury. Nick Leddy has played well and it will be fun and discouraging watching Leddy play 20 plus minutes a night.

Sunday Night Vs Calgary Flames at The United Center
The Blackhawks head home to the United Center and face off against a team that has to be the biggest surprise in the NHL this season. The Flames were thought to be in the Conner McDavid sweepstakes but instead they are sitting in third place one spot above the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division. Oh and it will be the last time we see Brandon Bollig this season.
