The Blackhawks have faced the Minnesota Wild the past two seasons in the playoff and have sent the Wild to the golf course in back to back springs.  The Blackhawks in those two playoff series have made some exciting goals so let’s rewind and take a look back at those goals before tonight’s Central Divisional Showdown!

Game #1 2013 First Round at The United Center

This game for me set the tone of the entire playoff run for the Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup.  The team got down early fought back and then of all people

Viktor Stalberg

sets up

Bryan Bickell

for the OT winner.  Bickell has a love/hate relationship with the fans. We hate him most of the regular season and then he flips a switch in the post season and this was him flipping that switch to begin a run of goals that led up to 17 seconds and the Stanley Cup.

2014 Game #1 Second Round At The United Center

The birth of Showtime!!

Patrick Kane

in a tie game does something only Patrick Kane can do as he gets the puck fakes a drop pass to

Patrick Sharp

and then puts the puck on his backhand and then it finds it’s final destination in the back of the net.   This game didn’t set the tone like the Game #1 in 2013 did, but it gave the Blackhawks a home win to start the series which is always crucial come playoff time.

2014 Game #6 2nd Round at Xcel Energy Center

The Blackhawks and Wild were trading home wins and Game #6 was in OT with a Game #7 staring the Blackhawks in the face.  The Blackhawks Brent Seabrook fires a puck in nearing the halfway point of the first overtime period and the puck takes a weird bounce off the glass and let’s not forget the great play by Peter Regin to tie up the defenseman before Patrick Kane gets the puck and ends the series like only he can another wicked back hander! Not many saw Kane’s goal but Patrick Sharp put in another seconds later just for fun.  The Hawks advanced and a pretty goal by Kane was the icing on the cake.
