Just when you think you have a read on Joel Quenneville and his moves, he throws a curveball at you and you art totally surprised.  The Blackhawks have sent Scott Darling back to Rockford and the AHL after a very nice run AGAIN in Chicago with the Blackhawks.

One has to assume that Corey Crawford will be back Saturday to face the Columbus Blue Jackets if Darling is being sent back down.  Darling looked good again during his brief stay with the Blackhawks and his record proves it.  He’s 5-2 with a 1.97 Goals Against Average and a .933 Save Percentage.

The one thing I was taking for granted is that the Hawks organization would like for Antti Raanta to get some real work and that was the reason he was headed to Rockford, but the team decided it was Darling heading to the Rockford, and Raanta will always be a Blackhawks All-time back up goalie.

What do you think? Do you think the hometown Kid getting sent to the AHL or do you think it should have been Raanta?
