We are heading to Christmas and I’m sure everyone is getting all their shopping done and the NHL schedule makers made it easy for the Blackhawks players and organization to get their Christmas list complete with a long break the week before Christmas. The Blackhawks are now off until Saturday night so let’s take a look at the three games remaining before the Blackhawks take their Christmas break.

Saturday Night at Columbus Blue Jackets

If there is one team that is hotter than the Blackhawks it’s the Columbus Blue Jackets being winners of 7 straight games.  Of course the Blackhawks will get a look at Jeremy Morin right away after last Sunday’s trade.  The Blue Jackets are led by their goalie Sergei Bobrovsky who’s been playing fantastic and the reason their season has started to turn around. Corey Crawford could be back in the lineup Saturday night, but no matter who’s in net let’s just keep that cannon quiet!.

Sunday Night Vs Toronto at United Center

The Blackhawks have had the misfortune of playing the Maple Leafs twice this season while their playing good hockey instead of their stretches of horrible hockey.  They are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and JVR has been leading the team so it should be an exciting game at the United Center with plenty of Chelsea Dagger being played.

Tuesday Night Vs Winnipeg Jets at United Center

Hey look another hot team having lost only one regulation game in their last 10.  The Jets have finally hit their stride and are scoring goals in bunches while keeping pucks are out of their own net. This will be the Blackhawks final game before Christmas so it will be interesting to see if these teams will come out playing hard or will they have Holiday festivities on their minds.  The Blackhawks have owned the Jets since they came into the Central Division but now with them close in the standings 2 points will be huge to pick up.
