So the Chicago Blackhawks have received some good news with Duncan Keith returning to practice today so he apparently hasn’t fallen to the NHL mumps epidemic. Duncan Keith missed the Blackhawks last game on Tuesday night a 5-3 victory against the Minnesota Wild.
It was strange not seeing Keith on the ice chewing up 20-28 minutes of ice time, but his partner in crime Brent Seabrook picked up the slack for his teammate picking up a goal and an assist and the #1 star of the night for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Duncan Keith the two-time Norris trophy winner not having the mumps is a huge story on so many fronts with the biggest one being that there won’t be a team outbreak going around the Chicago Blackhawks locker room.
For the Season Keith has 6 goals, 12 assists a +10 rating with 12 penalty minutes. Keith leads all Blackhawks defenseman with points and ice time and doesn’t look to be slowing down at all this season even if he isn’t the quarter mark favorite to repeat as Norris Trophy Winner.
