5. Nashville Predators 21-8-2: The Predators continue to be the shocker of the NHL this season. The Preds placed Viktor Stalberg on waivers earlier this week but then had to recall him due to an injury to Paul Gaustad. The additions of James Neal and Mike Ribeiro make Stalberg expendable.

4. St. Louis Blues 21-9-3: The Blues might be dealing USA hero TJ Oshie. The rumors have surfaced that Blues need to free up some future cap space to pay Jake Allen and Vladimir Tarasenko this coming off season. Perhaps the Blues might consider dealing Alex Steen? Steen has not lived up to his contract extension thus far.

3. Anaheim Ducks 22-8-5: The Ducks did something amazing recently, they brought back Ilya Bryzgalov to the NHL level. If only we can get a quote from him, oh and they have won eight of their last ten.

2. Chicago Blackhawks 22-9-2: The Blackhawks have been on a tear as of late winning eight of their last ten games. The Blackhawks also welcomed back Corey Crawford to the lineup. Crawford has been out with a lower body injury. The Hawks have gotten great play from Antti Raanta, Crawford, and Scott Darling this season.

1. Pittsburgh Penguins 22-6-4: The Penguins got some good news as Marc-Andre Fleury and Sidney Crosby were back in the lineup. The Pens have won three in a row. Could this be the year the Pens bring the Cup back to Pittsburgh??
The Pens sit atop this week’s rankings who is your number 1 team?
