The Winnipeg Jets are one of the surprise teams of the season so far, well they have always had talent they just never have been able to put it together. The Jets have only lost one game in regulation in the last 10 while picking up 4 OT losses.  If the playoff started right now they would be making their first playoff appearance in this version of the Jets.

The Blackhawks are coming off an emotional couple of days with the passing of their longtime assistant equipment manager Clint Reif and now have to find a way to get back to the ice tonight at the United Center.

The Blackhawks and Jets have played once this season and if you missed the first 20 seconds of the game it was a really snoozer.  Our old friend Michael Frolik scored 20 seconds in and Michael Hutchinson shut the Hawks out and the month of November wasn’t off to a great start for the Blackhawks.  The Blackhawks have blitzed some great goalies this year like scoring 9 times on Carey Price in two games this season, but they have struggled against young inexperienced goalies like Hutchinson this season.

The Hawks are a totally different team now then the last meeting so a high scoring game is the expectation two days before Christmas. Here is the viewing information for tonight’s contest.
