Team USA Vs Team Finland- Game #1 World Juniors: Live Streaming, TV Listings, And More

By Keith Schultz

The world juniors begin on Friday in Canada and the world will be watching especially with no NHL games being played tomorrow.  The opening preliminary game has Team USA facing off against last years Champions Team Finland.  Last year Finland was led by Teuvo Teravainen as he led his homeland to the Championship, but now Teuvo is in Rockford and will only be rooting on his homeland team.

The fun part for Chicago Blackhawks fans is that 4 Blackhawks prospects will be wearing the red, white, and blue for the Americans when they take to the ice on Friday.  This year’s first round pick Nick Schmaltz will be joined by Tyler Motte, Anthony Louis and John Hayden who will be an alternate Captain.

Team USA rolled through the preliminary round last year, but fell in the opening round of the knockout stage so don’t read too much into the first game today but a win is always nice in these short tourneys.
