Chicago Blackhawks Antti Raanta’s New Gear

By Sean Fitzgerald

Antti Raanta is having a good season with the Blackhawks. Raanta is 6-2 in nine starts with 1.73 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. His numbers improved from last season. Last season Raanta was 13-5 with 2.73 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. Raanta play struggled when he did get consistent starts.

This season despite the long gaps between starts Raanta has been rewarding the Blackhawks. Raanta has been very valuable the last two seasons because of the injuries to Corey Crawford.

Raanta upgraded his game this season, now it was time for an upgrade of his equipment. Raanta unveiled new pads and a new mask. Let’s hope the new gear keeps Raanta and the Blackhawks rolling in the Central Division.

The Blackhawks will take on the Nashville Predators on December 29th. Don’t forget the Blackhawks will also play in the Winter Classic against the Washington Capitals.
