The Blackhawks Patrick Kane Second Star of December

The NHL named there three stars of the month of December. The first star was Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks. The Second Star was Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks. The third star was Sergei Bobrovsky of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Kane was tied for second with 17 points in 13 games in December. The Blackhawks went 10-2-1 in for the month and went to second place in the league standings. Kane scored in ten contents and had a six game scoring streak from Dec 11-21. Kane also recorded four multi-point performances and had two game winning goals. Kane currently sits fifth in the NHL in points and sixth in goals. He is also tied for the league lead with five game winning goals.

Kane and the rest of the Blackhawks will be joined by the Blackhawks top prospect Teuvo Teravainen. Teravainen is being called up to replace Kane’s line mate Kris Versteeg.

Kane and the Blackhawks will be back in action Sunday against the Dallas Stars at 7pm. The game can be seen locally on WGN and national on NBC Sports Network.
