The Chicago Blackhawks finally got back to some normalcy on Sunday night and now they get back into the swing of things this week with four games on the docket and just for fun a whole lot of chances to see TeuvoTime in full effect, so let’s take a quick look at What’s on Tap this week for the Blackhawks.

Tuesday Night Vs Colorado Avalanche at United Center

The Avalanche just can’t seem to put it all together this season even though they have all the tools, but if you ask advanced stats folks this demise should have happened way before this season.  Nathan MacKinnon scored against the Hawks right after the Christmas break but if there’s one player to point at in their struggle it’s MacKinnon and his sophomore slump.  The Blackhawks beat the Av’s twice this year and this game will be fast and entertaining so fasten up your seat belt.

Thursday Night At Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center

The Wild are 3-4-3 in their last 10 and looked like they hit rock bottom this season when the Dallas Stars destroyed them 7-1 this past weekend.  The Wild play tight and try to control the possession game but they may be in no man’s land now trying to get back to playing good hockey while picking up points to get back into the playoff race.  Everytime I think about the Hawks playing in Minnesota it brings up this memory.

Friday Night Vs Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place

The Edmonton Oilers are a train wreck but they have a winning record against the Eastern Conference, I know that the Hawks are a Western Conference team and the Hawks handled the Oilers on home ice with ease during the circus trip, but this will be on the back end of a road trip back to backs so I don’t see this game being just a show up game.  The Oilers players  are looking to show they aren’t trade bait so look for a hard fought game in a city that the Blackhawks use to struggle mightily in year in and year out.

Sunday Night vs Minnesota Wild at United Center

The Blackhawks have two shots at the Wild in one week and can really dampen their playoff hopes or they somehow could give them some hope. For the second straight Sunday the Hawks are on NBCSN and a national TV audience.  The Hawks have almost a whole week off after this game so look for them to be skating hard looking for two points at the U.C.!

Which game are you excited about the most this coming week?
