19. Calgary Flames 22-18-3: The Flames have kind of fizzled as of late, they have lost three of their last four games. The Flames did shore up their center position. The Flames traded Dew Shore for Corban Knight of the Florida Panthers. Shore is an AHL All-Star. The Flames also had Mark Giordano and Johnny Gaudreau named to the NHL All-Star game. The Flames also had Joni Ortio debut, he recorded a shut out in his NHL debut.

18. Colorado Avalanche 18-16-8: The Avalanche have been surging recently winning five of their last six games. Semyon Varlaomov has been Omega Red like this past week. Varlamov stopped 54 shots against the Blackhawks in a shutout win and then stopped 36 of 38 against the Sens in a win. That is 90 saves in two games, the most in a two game stretch in NHL history. Can the Avs turn it around?

Avalanche All-Star: Erik Johnson

17. La Kings 19-13-0: The Kings have struggled recently losing three in a row and six of their last eight games. It will not be any easier for the Kings as Tyler Toffoli is out in definately with MONO and Tanner Pearson broke his leg. The Kings are going to players to step up in their absence or in the case of Mike Richards just show up.

Kings All-Stars: Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar. Daryl Sutter has been named a head coach also.

16. San Jose Shark 22-16-5: The Sharks have been scuffling, they have lost seven of their last ten games and had a touchdown dropped on them by the Blues. On a positive not Joe Thornton was activated from IR on Saturday.

Sharks All-Star: Brent Burns

15. Winnipeg Jets 21-14-7: The Jets are still hanging onto a Wild Card spot in the west. Things also could be looking up for them as Mark Staurt, Toby Enstrom, and Evander Kane returned to the lineup. Dustin Byfuglien was named to the All-Star game. Buff has played most of the year as forward but goes to the All-Star game as a Dman.
