Marian Hossa was signed in 2009 by the Blackhawks to a 12 year deal. The Chairman of the Blackhawks Rocky Wiertz said Marian Hossa was his favorite player and a big addition for the Blackhawks. Rocky since taking over the Blackhawks has been Right on a lot of things. He was VERY RIGHT on Hossa. Hossa had accomplished so much in his career before coming to the Blackhawks. Once Hossa joined the Blackhawks the accomplishments just kept piling up for the winger.

In Hossa’s Career, he has been a five time All-Star most recently in 2012, two time Stanley Cup Champion and has over 1,000 career points. To break it down even further Hossa has appeared in 1133 games and recorded 473 goals and 553 assists for 1026 points. He is a plus 217 for his career and shows no signs of slowing down. In the playoffs, he appeared in 171 games, recorded 45 goals and 82 assists for 127 points.

Perhaps the best part about Hossa is that he is such a great two-way forward. It is widely known that Hossa is a great defender and continues to be one. With all of that being said, we at Blackhawkup want to wish Marian Hossa a Happy Birthday. Marian Hossa is 36 years old and still plays on the top line of the Blackhawks with Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews.
