The Chicago Blackhawks kicked their mini-slump to the curb last night with authority last night thanks to a visit by the pretty weak Arizona Coyotes, but tonight they face a much tougher test on National TV when they travel to the Steel City to faceoff against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Blackhawks have struggled recently in last game before breaks including getting shut out by the Arizona Coyotes last year before the Olympic break so will the Hawks keep playing like they did last night with a whole lot of fire or will they be looking ahead to a week off before they kick off the ice show trip.
The Penguins sit in 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division trailing the New York Islanders by 4 points and suffered a beat down and loss last night by the hands of their in state rival Philadelphia Flyers so they will be looking to right the ship before their All-Star Break
Here is the viewing information for tonight’s game against the Penguins which will be on National TV.

The game should be a track meet with plenty of Pierre McGuire between the board talking about Sidney Crosby, but let’s get to the predictions for tonight.
Last night I predicted a 5-1 win by the Hawks with Patrick Sharp picking up his 200th and Andrew Shaw scoring so I’m going to say that’s one top notch prediction even though it was perfect it was pretty close.
Tonight, the prediction will be a little tougher with the Hawks playing in a city they never have really played well in which included a beat down last year with Jonathan Toews getting knocked out of the game and the rest of the season after a Brooks Orpik hit. So here is tonight’s prediction, the Hawks will win 4-3 with Bryan Bickell scoring on a Teuvo Teravainen pass and Marian Hossa picks up a goal when the referees stay out of his way while he is shooting.

Oh of course one last bonus prediction McGuire will slurp the Penguins at least twice a period while showing him in between the boards.
