The Chicago Blackhawks are finally done with their All-star Break and there is work to be done with not one but two teams ahead of them in the Central Divisional Standings and the up and coming Winnipeg Jets in their rear view mirror.
All of that has nothing to do with tonight’s opponent and they of course as we all know is the defending Stanley Cup and the one team that got in the way of the Blackhawks winning back to back championships the hated Kings.
The Kings have been playing with some Stanley Cup hangover and now have run into some injury issues and yesterday they waived Mike Richards so things are not totally running smoothly in LA but as we all know it takes a whole lot to get this group to go away so no matter where they stand everyone knows they will be in the playoffs somewhere and will not care what their seating is in the tournament.
The Blackhawks after a hot November and December have been very vanilla in the month of January so far but they are off on their annual Ice show trip and this trip isn’t always as successful as the circus trip but the Hawks are in no position to go into a long slump on the road so look for a lot of energy especially tonight against the defending Cup champs. It almost feels like the beginning of the 2013 season with it being January after a long break and the Hawks opening up in LA, on that day the hawks blitzed the Kings on their banner raising day so a repeat of that outcome would be awesome. Here is the viewing info for tonight.

The prediction part of the program has at a spot where we haven’t been in for a while and to be honest I’m not sure what the last game prediction was but I’m sure the Hawks were my predicted winner.
