Chicago Blackhawks Trade Adam Clendening

By Keith Schultz

The Blackhawks made a bit of a surprising trade late last night when they sent Adam Clendening to Vacouver for prospect Gustav Forsling.

Forsling in Swedish league this season has 3 goals and 2 assists in 35 games. Clendening played in four games with the Hawks scoring a goal and an assist and was thought to be the next in line from Rockford.

Clendening had a huge 2013-2014 season in Rockford scoring 12 times with 47 assists, while this year he’s cooled off quite a bit scoring only once and picking 12 assists.

Did Clendening not show enough in his four game audition? It is a curious trade that is for sure with the thoughts of Michal Rozsival and possible Johnny Oduya gone after this season.

Does this trade surprise you to?
