The Blackhawks traded away another young player late last night. The Blackhawks sent Adam Clendening to the Vancouver Canucks for Gustav Forsling. After everyone read the headline, they the Blackhawks traded for who?? That’s right they trade for Gustav Forsling. Forsling was a 5th round pick of Canucks in the 2014 draft. He current plays with Linkoping in the Swedish Hockey League.
He has with Linkoping organization since he has been 16 years old. This season, he currently has three goals and two assists in 35 games. Forsling also represented Team Sweden at the World Junior Championships. He appeared in seven games and has three goals and five assists.
Blackhawks General Manager complemented his game at the World Junior Championship. Bowman stated that the he was one of the best players in the tournament. He is listed at 5-11 and weighs a 175lbs. He shoots left and has been said to have a heavy shot. Forsling best season was in 2013-14. He appeared in 44 games and had six goals and 12 assists for 18 total points.
