The Chicago Blackhawks play their last game of the ice show road trip this morning, yes I said this morning when they head to their biggest rivals building in the shadow of the Arch in St. Louis and the Blues.
The Blackhawks have been struggling but they were able to pull out 2 points in overtime against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night and now will be looking to build some momentum against the Blues. The Blackhawks went almost 147 minutes without a goal and they only picked up one regulation goal against the Jets when Patrick Kane did something only Patrick Kane can do, but they did find the back of the net in overtime when Brandon Saad buried a great pass from Kane so how the offense will perform tonight is still a question mark.
The Blues are the hottest team in the NHL if you throw out Friday night’s 7-1 woodshed game in Columbus. The Blues have been scoring goals and shutting teams down so the Hawks will have their work cut out for them on Sunday morning but if one thing we know about the Hawks is they get up for these type of showdowns against teams like the Blues so this game should be fun to watch. Here is the viewing information for the Central Divisional matchup today.

Now on to the prediction, I was stuck at work Friday afternoon and didn’t get a prediction up for the Jets, so there’s nothing to look back at and since my last prediction was for the Wild game and no one came close to that embarrassing game, so let’s look ahead instead of what’s in our rearview mirror.

Today’s prediction for the Blues vs Blackhawks game includes another Daniel Carcillo fight because let’s face it every team is going to try and goat him now that his perfect behavior stick is over. I will predict a big game from Bryan Bickell and Andrew Shaw each picking up a goal in a wild 4-3 Hawks win.
