The Chicago Blackhawks are rolling, picking up points in their last six games, winning four of those. After returning home from their Ice Show road trip, the United Center has been good to the Blackhawks, and the offense has found their spark again as the defense battens down the hatches. Here are our Three Stars of the week for February 18th.

#3: Corey Crawford

Crawford has been the backstop for five of the Blackhawks’ six games mentioned earlier, and his consistency has been a big part of the team’s success over the past week. Despite allowing five goals in the overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, Crawford has posted a save percentage north of .925% in the other four games, all wins. He has made big saves when his team needs them, and has improved his play in the shootout, which has shone through over the past few starts. Crawford does not have to be an elite goaltender for the Blackhawks to be successful. Though his numbers sometimes show it, Crawford has been good enough for the rest of the Blackhawks’ roster to bring home the bacon each and every game, and that’s exactly what the team needs as they enter the last leg of the regular season.
