The only time we get to see our old rival the Detroit Red Wings at the United Center is tonight! Our biggest rival from the Norris Division is now a Eastern Conference foe that we only get to see twice a season and once a year in Chicago and this year that night is tonight.
The Blackhawks are trying to catch the St. Louis Blues for second place in the Central Division and the Dallas Stars did the Blackhawks a favor by beating the Blues last night, so now the Blackhawks have a chance to make up some ground and the Hawks have been home resting for over a week now but really haven’t been clicking 100 percent so tonight two points isn’t a given.
The Red Wings are in a dog fight for 1st place in their division and could possibly be the Eastern Conference team when the Stanley Cup Finals begin in June. The Red Wings have been a surprise since they were supposed to be rebuilding but pretty much any team coached by Mike Babcock is going to be good and not rebuilding.
Both teams are in search of 2 points tonight in the constant struggle for playoff positioning with 25 or so games left in the regular season so tonight should be a spirited affair between two rivals so here are is the viewing information for tonight’s game from the United Center.

As we move on the prediction part of the program it’s still hard to believe with all that offensive firepower on the ice Sunday that each team only got one goal in the contest before the Blackhawks weaponry went to work in the shootout. Nobody had a 2-1 Hawks win or a Hjalmarsson goal so it was a failure on the prediction end Sunday.
The prediction for tonight’s game is a tight game with the Hawks pulling it out in overtime 2-1. Duncan Keith will get a goal and an assist as the Hawks pull out the 2nd point in extra time.
