The Chicago Blackhawks won two straight games to end their ice show trip and headed home for an 8 game homestand with hopes and dreams of catching the St. Louis Blues and the Nashville Predators.  Well, 5 games in the results have not been what was expected with the Blackhawks going 2-0-3 so far at home with all but one of those games going to extra time.

The Blackhawks are playing ok and the play of goalie Corey Crawford has shown some real great signs of late but the Hawks offense has been sputtering like it was at the beginning of the season when they were getting a lot of shots on net but nothing to show for it on the scoreboard.

The Av’s are still in the playoff hunt but there are a whole lot of teams between them and the playoff bubble and not a whole lot of time to right the ship.  The Av’s are one of the most disappointing teams in the league this year but they always play the Blackhawks tough no matter the setting so this should be another good up and down game between these two Central divisional foes.

The Blackhawks somehow are auditioning players this late in the season with the current players on audition Ryan Hartman and Kyle Cumiskey playing for spots down the stretch.  For a team that seemed set at the beginning of the season there still is quite a few question marks still to be answered.

Here is the viewing information for tonight’s game.

With about three minutes left in the game Wednesday night I thought I was going to nail the prediction, but the Red Wings and Blackhawks had to trade goals in the final minute to bust my 2-1 overtime prediction.  We all missed so tonight is another night to get back on the wagon and make a good prediction.

I see the Hawks winning tonight 4-2 with the Kris Versteeg scoring again and Patrick Kane picking up a couple assists in the Blackhawks victory.

What is your prediction for tonight’s Central Divisional matchup and do you think that this is the night that the Blackhawks get their offense back on track?
