Anytime the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins face each other memories of the 2013 Finals and 17 seconds have to be on everyone’s minds. The Finals were fun and the ending was special so it’s expected that everyone day dreams of that night in June in 2013, but now it’s 2015 and both teams are in a struggle to get back to where they want to be this season.
The Chicago Blackhawks have been in a bit of a funk playing in an extended homestand but not really playing very well and especially not playing well for an extended amount of time in each game which has the fan base in a bit of uneasiness and so today is a big day against an Original 6 team to get things straightened out for the Hawks.
The problem really has started with the defense, but in recent days it’s been the lack of getting pucks in the back of the net for the Chicago Blackhawks that have been the problem. The Hawks have gone back to their early season goal scoring problems when they were getting shots on goals but no net front presence and no real great chances just long shot after long shot.
The Bruins are on the bubble right now in the 8th and final spot in the East and they have been struggling as well, but their struggles can be pointed to their defense and after hitting a losing streak are seeing the Florida Panthers in their rear view mirror so today is a big game for the Bruins in the standings.

On to the predictions and again I was way off, I should just say the Hawks are going to score two goals and be done with it because they haven’t put a big number on the board for a while now and my Friday night prediction didn’t go so well.

Today I see the Hawks getting back to big bodies in front which means a good game from Bryan Bickell. I putting a goal for Bickell and one for Patrick Sharp in a 4-3 Blackhawks victory.
