The homestand  just gets worse as Patrick Kane headed to the Blackhawks dressing room after getting cross-checked into the boards and he went head first into the boards and as Eddie says the boards don’t give.

The play was a really bad dangerous play by the Florida Panthers Alex Petrovic who cross checked Kane right into the boards.

Joel Quenneville was furious that it was only a 2 minute penalty but it doesn’t matter if it was 2,5, or 10 minutes it’s Kane in the locker room

We will give updates when they come in but for now, Patrick Kane was injured in the first period and is in the locker room.

At the beginning of the second period it was announced that Kane would not return for the rest of the game.  Again not a shock with the real concern as to the seriousness of the injury.
