The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled Teuvo Teravainen according to Scott Powers ESPN Chicago’s sources which is one of the options that the Chicago Blackhawks had after the Patrick Kane injury.

The Blackhawks top prospect played 15 games with the Blackhawks during the Kris Versteeg injury scoring twice with 2 assists and a -1 rating.  One thing about Teuvo that stood out to me was he played a 200 foot game and although he was getting bumped off the puck a bit to easily he was always playing responsibly on defense.

With the absence of play making Patrick Kane, it only makes sense to recall Teuvo who has the most offensively gifted game in the organization he just needs the right wings to make it happen namely the top two lines.

Teuvo needs to shoot more and be stronger with the puck in the defensive end but he’s got the offensive game to make a difference and he didn’t sulk down in Rockford so he’s got that going for him as he moves back up to Chicago.

Teuvo is the rumored first move after the Kane injury, but I’m sure there will be more.
