Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Playoff Bound Again

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks secured another Stanley Cup playoff spot last night by beating the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 at the United Center. The Chicago Blackhawks as a whole like me have been spoiled since the arrival of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, because this year we feel like the team has struggled for most of the season with the exception of the month of December. Yet when you look at the Chicago Blackhawks season is stacks right up there with their recent seasons.

The Blackhawks for the 5th time in 6 seasons have over 100 points and if you throw out the rookie season of Toews/Kane they have made the playoffs every year since the changing of the guards season.  Jonathan Toews was named Captain in 2008 and since then the Blackhawks haven’t missed the playoffs now that’s a team making the right call about their leadership.

The Blackhawks now have 5 games with 2 of them against the St. Louis Blues to pass their divisional rivals and grab home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, an advantage that the Toews/Kane era has taken full advantage of in the past. Here are some morning links to kick off your Victory Friday.
