Nashville Predators Vs Chicago Blackhawks Game #3: Live Streaming, TV Listings, & More

Well that’s not how the third period was supposed to finish Friday night in Nashville! The Predators blitzed the Chicago Blackhawks in the third period with 3 goals making a close 3-2 game into a 6-2 blowout.  The Chicago Blackhawks now have a short window to regroup and get their stuff together because Sunday afternoon is Game #3 of the Opening Round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Chicago Blackhawks have been slow starters on the road in Nashville, but they have responded to tie in both games and found a way to win at least the first game with a split being the goal in every road series during the opening two games of the series.

The Chicago Blackhawks now are home and hopefully the script will change with the Hawks not the Predators jumping out early and possessing the puck.  The Blackhawks struggled early and often in both games which just happens to be the strength of the Predators.  They are a notorious great 1st period team, while a really bad 2nd period team.  If the Chicago Blackhawks can jump out early they could finish them early with their 2nd period struggles.

To add to the Chicago Blackhawks drama is the fact that Corey Crawford has been benched and Super relief pitcher Scott Darling (from Lemont Illinois) is making his first Stanley Cup Playoffs start which sounds exciting but can be nerve racking for fans.  Darling may be a great relief pitcher, but how will he play and react to starting his first playoff game?

The Hawks need to find some offense in their bottom lines but even players like Kris Versteeg need to find their offense and score with some regularity, but really that has been the problem for most of the season.

The Nashville Predators do have their own problems with defenseman Shea Weber out for both Games #3 and #4. Now of course critics will say the Predators responded to Weber missing the third period, but in the back of their minds it will be tough for the Predators to be missing Weber especially on their powerplay opportunities on Sunday.

Game #3 isn’t as pivotal as a Game #5, but it will be a big game for the Chicago Blackhawks to hold serve and keep the home ice advantage they stole on Wednesday night. Here is the viewing information.
