1. Detroit 2013- Game #7

The Chicago Blackhawks were trailing the Detroit Red Wings 3 game to 1 and somehow made it back to all tied after a great 3rd period at Joe Louis Arena in Game #6, and then Game #7 was an instant classic.

The Blackhawks took the lead in the 2nd period on a Patrick Sharp goal, and the United Center was rocking.  The Blackhawks didn’t keep the lead very long in the third period when Henrik Zetterberg scored in the first minute.

The Blackhawks look to have scored the game winner late in the third period but the referee waved off the goal when Brandon Saad was thrown to the ground while Niklas Hjalmarsson was scoring.

I’m pretty sure it was the only time things were thrown during the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup championship run,  the good thing was when overtime began it was Brent Seabrook that would put the final goal in a tremendous 7 game series and put the Blackhawks biggest rival out of the playoffs and sent to the golf course.  Seabrook reaction after the goal is pretty special too.

How would you rank Brent Seabrook’s overtime goals? Which one is your favorite? Either way Seabrook has scored some all-time great overtime goals and is slowly becoming Mr. Overtime!
