Hopefully Chicago Blackhawks fans everywhere quickly moved past Thursday’s Game 5 loss in Nashville. Some elements of Game 2 reappeared throughout the night, but the ’Hawks ultimately still hold a one-game edge heading back to the Madhouse on Madison.
The ’Hawks bounced back with a vengeance after the Game 2 loss by outclassing the Nashville Predators most of the way in a Game 3 triumph. Will we see more of the same tonight in Game 6?
This is the ’Hawks’ bread-and-butter, speaking of Game 6s featuring the current “core” group of players in place under Joel Quenneville. In 16 playoff series during that time, the ’Hawks have played a Game 6 12 times — and they’ve won 11 of them (the lone miss was against Phoenix in 2012). Of those 11 victories, eight won the series for Chicago.
