Here are Five Quick Thoughts on the Tampa Bay Lightning:

  1. The Lighting have a very young talented team. Their Captain and leader Steven Stamkos is 24 years old. Stamkos has 7 goals and 10 assists in the playoffs. Tyler Johnson their leading scorer in the playoffs is 24. Johnson has 12 goals and 9 assists. Ondrej Palat is 23 years old and has 7 goals 8 assists. Nikita Kucherov is 21 and he has 9 goals and 10 assists. All of their leading scorers are under 25 years old.
  1. Tampa Bay has a good veteran core: The Lightning have a good veteran group of Ryan Callahan, Jason Garrison, Braydon Coburn, and Brenden Morrow. Callahan is a good leader and former Captain of the New York Rangers. Coburn should be familiar to the Blackhawks fans. He was a member of 2009-10 Flyers that were defeated by the Blackhawks. Garrison has a heavy shot and will be a force in this series. Morrow is long time NHL veteran defenseman. This veteran group has helped the Lightning go 9-0 after scoring first in this post season.
