6. Lone Home Game vs. Detroit Red Wings, March 6

Don’t blink during the week of March 2 or else you may miss the entire season series between the Hawks and former Central Division rival Detroit. The Hawks play a home-and-home with the Red Wings during a four-game span in the first week of March.

The bitter rivalry between the two Original Six foes has diminished quite a bit since conference realignment two seasons ago, but both teams and fan bases still find a little extra to get revved up for those contests.

It will also be the first time since 2005 that Mike Babcock will not be coaching the Wings against the Hawks. Instead, it will be newcomer Jeff Blashill getting his first taste of the rivalry.
